School Counseling Track

School counselors help students develop academic and social skills to succeed in school.

The school counseling track prepares students to deliver comprehensive programs that promote success for all students (K-12). Students completing the track are qualified to begin the process of acquiring their Indiana School Counselor (Initial Practitioner) License. Students interested in pursuing the clinical mental health track after completing the Marian University school track must complete an additional 15 hours: COU550 Psychopathology; COU532 Marriage and Family Counseling or COU531 Addiction Counseling; COU560A Mental Health Counseling Practicum; COU660A Internship in Mental Health Counseling; COU661 Advanced Internship in MH Counseling.
