Master of Science in Counseling Admissions Requirements
Department of Psychological Sciences and Counseling (PSC)
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution. Degrees in a related field such as psychology, education, sociology, criminal justice, nursing, or ministry are preferred.
- Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00 and major GPA of 3.00
- GRE (optional) general preferred scores: Combined 295, V 150, Q 145, Writing 4
- Completion of undergraduate psychology courses in development, abnormal psychology, and statistics or research methods

Foreign students (F-1 Visa)
- Proof of English language proficiency
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOFEL) within the past two years of 550 written, 213 computer-based, or 79 internet-based
Admission to all graduate programs is subject to availability of space. Program faculty size, the number of students already in a program, and the number of new applicants all affect selection ratios in a given year.
