Saint Clare Academic Scholarship 

Available to first-time freshmen entering in the fall of 2020.​

The Saint Clare Academic Scholarship is named after Saint Clare of Assisi, who lived a simple life rooted in service and prayer. She was committed to protecting the integrity of each person and emphasized thoughtful stewardship of  material resources.

Saint Clare’s teachings are reflected in Marian University’s Franciscan values of dignity of the individualpeace and justicereconciliation, and responsible stewardship.

  • Marian University awards the Saint Clare Academic Scholarship to new first-time, full-time freshmen.
  • The amount is $7,000 annually, based on your prior academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, and ability to contribute as a student to Marian University.
  • It is renewable for up to three additional years if you are an enrolled, full-time student with a GPA of 3.00 or higher. 

To be considered, you must:

  • Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0.
  • Earn these minimum test scores on one of the following exams:
    1. 1100 on the critical reading and math portions of the Revised 2016 SAT completed in March 2016 or after.
    2. 22 ACT composite. 
  • Demonstrate a record of leadership and community service.
  • Commit to an educational experience framed within the context of Marian University’s Franciscan values informed by prayer. 

Eligibility is determined on a rolling basis at the time of admission. If you are awarded the scholarship, you will be notified in your accepted student packet.
