Saint Francis Academic Scholarship 

Available to first-time freshmen entering in the fall of 2020.​

The Saint Francis Academic Scholarship is named in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi, who devoted his life to preaching the gospel and serving all people, especially the poor and the sick.

His legacy of service lives on at Marian University through the institution’s understanding of the Franciscan values of dignity of the individualpeace and justicereconciliation, and responsible stewardship, informed by prayer.

  • The scholarship is available to incoming first-time, full-time freshmen.
  • The amount ranges from $9,000 up to $15,000 annually, based on your prior academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, and ability to contribute as a student to Marian University.
  • It is renewable for up to three additional years if you remain an enrolled full-time student and maintain a GPA of 3.00 or higher.

To be considered, you must:

  • Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.25.
  • Earn the minimum  score on one of the following exams:
    1. 1160 in the critical reading and math portions on the Revised 2016 SAT completed in March 2016 or after.
    2. 24 ACT composite.
  • Demonstrate a record of leadership and community service.
  • Commit to an educational experience framed within the context of Marian University’s Franciscan values.

Eligibility is determined on a rolling basis at the time of admission. You will be notified if you are selected for Saint Francis Academic Scholarship with in your accepted student packet.
