International Transfer Students

Admission process

If you attended a college or university after you graduated from secondary school/high school, please apply as an international transfer student. Any student who has previously attended another higher education institution cannot apply as a new freshman.

  1. Apply using Marian University's online international application. It's free!

  2. English language proficiency: If you are an international student, document your English language proficiency according to the requirements below.

  3. Academic records: Send official transcripts directly to Marian University's Office of Undergraduate Admission for all previously attended high schools and colleges. For any university you attended that is not in the United States, we require a course-by-course evaluation. Please review the course-by-course evaluation provided by World Education Service (WES).

If your university does not provide transcripts in English, we require a word-for-word translation of the transcript. You can translate the transcript yourself, but we recommend using a third-party translator like indytranslations.com.

  4. Passport: Submit a copy or scan of the photo identity page of your passport.

  5. Proof of financial status: Submit a completed financial verification along with supporting documents from within the past six months showing that you have sufficient funds to cover the first year of study. Supporting documents include a bank statement or letter from the bank.

  6. Transfer-in form: For students who are currently studying in the US on an F-1 student visa--Complete the transfer-in form with an international  advisor at your current university. Your advisor should email the completed form to international@marian.edu.
