Enhanced Cleaning
Last Spring, Campus Operations began cleaning campus buildings at an enhanced rate due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the summer Campus Operations has been working alongside university departments and stakeholders to ready themselves for
the Fall semester. While Campus Operations will be able to clean campus buildings at an enhanced rate, support and participation from the Marian University community will be important now more than ever. Campus Operations strongly encourages
campus building occupants to disinfect surfaces before and after using them to further enhance the disinfection of campus buildings. In order to encourage the campus community to disinfect surfaces they touch, and practice good hand hygiene, the
Campus Operations team have procured supplies including disinfectant wipes, disinfectant spray, and hand sanitizer. Further information can be found below.
Procurement of Supplies
The Campus Operations team has been working together to procure supplies for the entirety of campus to ensure the overall campus demand is being taken into consideration and a fair price is being paid for the supplies. Each Marian University
facility has an assigned building supply liaison who serves as the primary point of contact for occupants of the building and Campus Operations. All requests will be reviewed to ensure that each department is receiving adequate supplies. If
you have any questions, please reach out to facilites@marian.edu.
Disinfectant Wipes & Spray
Spaces such as classrooms, labs and lecture halls will be stocked and refilled with disinfectant wipes as needed by Campus Operations. Staff and faculty offices, and meeting rooms will be outfitted with disinfectant spray bottles and dry towels.
If a space is out of disinfectant wipes or spray, please submit a request to facilities@marian.edu using the appropriate room/area number.
Hand Sanitizer
Common spaces such as hallways, entrances, and soft spaces will be stocked and refilled with hand sanitizer as needed by Operations. If a common space is out of hand sanitizer, please submit a request to facilities@marian.edu
using the appropriate room/area number. The products being used across campus for hand sanitization meet the CDC recommended alcohol percentage.
Modifications
To support Marian University’s commitment to practicing social distancing throughout campus, furniture has been adjusted to boost safety. More specifically. classrooms, lobbies, large gather spaces, dining venues, and classrooms have been
reconfigured to align with proper distancing guidelines. Plexiglass, distancing markers, and new signage have been installed across campus to further promote spacing and awareness. If you have any questions about space and furniture
modifications, please reach out to facilites@marian.edu.
